The Innovative, Combined Refresher (TICR) Series
$40/ Case or $200/ Total Course
We know that a lot of refreshers are boring and can put you to sleep faster than a tranquilizer. We decided to innovate this mundane experience by creating a new method of delivering the content in case scenario format. Each case has been designed in a lesson style format, and you will be quizzed as you go though the material.

Ultimately, you work our case- based scenarios and then pass a quiz after each scenario. There are 20 cases total, and all are created to achieve all of the core and flex content (48 hours total) as prescribed by the NREMT.

In the real world, we work with combined crews: nurses and paramedics; EMTs and Paramedics; AEMTs and EMTs; and AEMTs and Paramedics. Our TICR course achieves all the objectives required by the NREMT and has been approved by the Oklahoma Board of Health, EMS Division.

The FP-C reports that 10 of its 125 questions will cover flight physiology, so that is precisely how many flight physiology questions we ask. Swearingen's Resource and Study Guide for Critical Care and Transport Clinicians
$135 (Website Discount)
Charlie Swearingen first conceived the dream of becoming a flight clinician while he was still in paramedic school. He decided that instead of blithely waiting for a position to become available, he would begin arming himself with the professional achievements that would eventually earn him a spot on a revered, level 1 helicopter in Mississippi. He credits passing the FP-C (certified flight paramedic exam) as the single factor that made him stand out as only a 2 year medic when he first applied for a flight clinician. At the time there were 10s of applicants, and all with much more experience than Charlie. He got the job. He got it by studying for and passing the FP-C exam. He took notes following the objectives provided by the BCCTPC, and ended up with 3 incredibly stuffed notebooks. Each notebook had a purpose: the first was the main material in detail, the second was a list of case studies, and the third was a list of facts that needed to be studied the day before, or the day of, the exam. This tandem method worked awesomely. Every person that he lent these notebooks to (both nurses and paramedics) passed their flight clinician exam on their first try. This text is the professional version of those three notebooks. Are you ready to experience first- pass success? Then let’s punch the clock and get to work.

This text has won the appreciation of several pre-hospital and critical care organizations who focus on educational endeavors and the preparation of outstanding clinicians. These include the HEART of Mississippi and EMSSuccess.org.

This is an approved provider and course of the BCCTPC.
